Are you feeling like a piece or element of your light is missing in your life? Well there could very well be an easy answer to this and we are going to dive right in and take a close look at a very sensitive topic. "Who's In Control?".
Okay, so you are asking yourself what did I mean by the question? It is simple! What I am referring to is your life. How many times have you had people whether they might be in your present or past life try to manipulate you in how you live or with whom you choose to associate with. It is sad to think that there are actually people out there who have so little control over their own life or allow other's to determine how they live theirs. Look, if there is nothing to worry about in the way of physical harm or someone trying to come in and interfere with your relationship then why do people allow their partners to make these decisions for them? I have to say that I am somewhat baffled at those who permit their significant others to dictate with whom they can socialize with and to what degree. Doesn't this almost fall into being co-dependent? I think anyone who has ever been in a recovery program will be able to see right through this. Manipulation of another human beings life merely because they are insecure with their own leads me to think that there is still an active addiction happening under the wings. Why else would a person feel so compelled to think they have to determine who their partner may or may not socialize with?
A controlling person is a sign of either a past addict that has not learned how to control their own life or by their own insecurities feel the need to be in control of someone else's life.
Look, we have all been there at one point or another in our life, however, to continue this path can be dangerous to both parties and lead into resentment. It is best to tackle the issue head on early on before it becomes a festered sore and one that can lead to a broken relationship. There are several ways in which you can tackle this problem and deter it from becoming like a tumor that is growing out of control. The first and foremost item to be dealt with is honesty. You have to speak up and let your partner know how they are making you feel and the direction that it is taking your present relationship. A relationship that is based upon control and manipulations is one that is surely doomed for destruction. There are several warning signs that can be seen by many who are outside of your relationship and more than likely you are feeling them developing inside of you. So what can you do? It is rather simple, believe it or not, but simply sitting your significant other down and letting them know that their constant control over your life is bothersome and is causing you to have feelings that you would rather not have towards them. If this is taken on immediately you can more than likely prevent a disastrous end.
I am certainly hoping by this point in your life you have learned how to speak your voice and your opinion! There is no better time to regain control over your life and you as a person than right now!
Really who is in control? So many people go through life being driven by the personality of their mate. Believe me when I say there is nothing wrong in wanting to please your significant other, however, there is a limit to everything and being manipulated and controlled by another human being merely because they are insecure does not fit into my book of acceptable behaviors. If you are allowing it to be in yours then all I can say is maybe you really need to take a closer look into your life and what you have allowed yourself to become and more importantly is what you have become at the hand of another. Is this truly the way you wanted it or intended it to be? I certainly do not think so! It is easy to fall into this trap and I have seen myself there as well, however, once you identify it.....put a STOP to it before it gets the best of you and what and who you are! Tell us.....do you know someone who allows their significant other to control and manipulate their life? How does it make you feel when someone does it to you? How long will you continue to put up with it and do you see it as being a disaster in the brewing of your life? These are some challenging questions and ones that can be tough to truly answer with 100% honesty. Give it a whirl and let us know what you come up with!

A Heartless Killer
Do you know someone who is suffering from the killing addiction to Heroin, Oxycontin, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana and other substances? In the world that we live in today it has been proven that addictions are on the rise by nearly 68% in even rural areas.
There are several causes that lead up to chemical dependency from social, economic pressure, school and peer pressures. It seems that the age has significantly dropped to when a person begins to experiment with any of these substances to a tender age of 9 has been reported by many school districts around the country. Why is it that neither the school districts nor parents of these children are able to see any of the signs that usually are illustrated by the person who is becoming an addict. Is it that they are choosing to look past it or is it that they do not want to have to face the harsh reality of what is developing right before their very eyes?
Breaking the chains to addictions can be easy and does not have to destroy you nor the addict themselves. However, I must caution you that the road you are about to embark upon in assisting someone from freeing themselves from the bondage's of addictions is going to be by far one of the most incredibly challenging projects you will ever undertake in your life.
For those who have yet to experience this I can assure you that you are going to feel as though your entire world has collapsed around you. However, I want to encourage you to know that you are not allow and their have been many before you that have either been the addict them self or have been the family of an addict.
Tough love and determination are going to be the word of the day as you begin to take on this huge and difficult challenge. Let me encourage you though.....
Let me encourage you, though, as their is a multitude of avenues that you can seek out for sources of educational materials and encouragement. If this is your first time assisting someone freeing themselves from the bondage of addiction I highly encourage you to surround yourself with people who have walked this path before you. They can offer you a huge amount of support and information that will be more than helpful along your journey.
Whether you are the addict or someone who is related to one and trying to deal with what can often times seem like a dead end road please take it from a recovering addict and someone who has been clean for over 15 years now, it can be achieved.
It is a matter of determining what direction you are wanting your life or the life of one you love who is affected by this heartless killer. One big thing for those who are the family of an addict to realize is you did not cause their addiction and thus you are not going to be the cure for it either. So many people have given up hope as they think just because they can't make a person stop indulging in some of the things they do that they have failed them. Not so! Please keep in mind that addictions to not happen overnight and surely are not cured overnight either. It is a timely process and one that requires a commitment unlike anything else you have ever undertaken in your life. That being said there will be periods where the person may quite possibly relapse a time or two before they truly begin to pull their program together and start the road to recover. Due not see this as a failure as it is quite common among addicts depending upon the severity and nature of their addiction.
Let me offer you a note of encouragement! You can do this and their will be a brighter light for you at the end of the day! The important thing to remember is that you are going to need a higher power to help you through this dark and difficult time and I encourage you to seek out Jesus Christ for his wisdom and comfort during this trial in your life. For those who may get to read this who live close to or in Springfield, Ohio I encourage you to give the wonderful people at Reasonable Choices, Inc. a look up as they have a vast array of resources to assist you with this. Remember that you are in our hearts and minds and we are here for you! Peace be with you on your journey and remember that you are not the first to have to walk this hellish road, however, their is light on the horizon and hope for you and your future.

The Power To Overcome
In life there are many things that can take control of you. Whether they be addictions, emotional issues or things in life that have a way to take complete control over everything.
I am here to tell you that there is good news and that is that you are not alone. Millions have suffered from and currently suffer from addictive behaviors that seem to take control over your life and the ones that you love.
Addictions come in a multitude of sizes and colors in life and can be from mild to absolutely compulsive and have the ability to make you do things that you normally would not think about under normal circumstances. Why is it that some families are stricken with this debilitating disease and others are not? That has been a question that has kept the doctors and researchers busy for a number of years trying to figure out and provide answers to. I believe that addictive behaviors are in part hereditary in nature and almost make a person predispositioned to having them in their life at one point or another.
Of course there are outside factors that can drive a person to become an addictive type personality. We will take a closer look at what some of those are a little later in this post. Often times, a person who suffers from an addiction most generally do not understand what they have or the underlying causes. It is not until one usually has to enter into a treatment of sorts that they begin to put a finger on exactly what it is that has taken control of their life and how to begin to bring it under control.
One of the most well know addictions is to alcohol and drug use. Millions of people worldwide are afflicted with this disease and have lost nearly everything in their life as a result. Studies have shown that most people who suffer from this sort of addiction usually have had a member of their family who, also, has suffered from the same addiction at one point or another.
Researchers are still trying to determine if this is triggered by a chemical imbalance in humans or if it is more psychological with accompanying outside factors that seem to make this more known to people who would otherwise not likely succumb to the addictive lifestyle. Do you know a person who suffers from an addiction? If so, then you more than likely understand what it does to a person and their family and how destructive it can be.
However, there are more addictions than most of you know of and just about anything in life can produce an addictive personality. There are those who are addicted to playing games online, social networking addicts and then we can venture off into physiological addictive types as those experienced by those who are OCD. Believe it or not even the aforementioned can be highly debilitating and cause more issues in your personal life than you can begin to believe.
What is it exactly that drives a person to develop an addictive personality. Is it that they have missed out on something that they consider to have been important for the to feel complete or is it more a physiological determination that decides who will become an addict or not? Sadly once a person realizes they have an addiction they often times will transfer that addiction to something else in an effort to hide the previous one.
We certainly are interested in hearing about your addictions and how you were able to overcome them. Share with us an our viewers about this. The one thing about recovery is that there is help from a multitude of sources and many who are standing by to assist you through this.
